Ste@m

In 2017 St Barbara’s Parish School adopted a STE@M Education framework, incorporating Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics into project based learning. STE@M Education links the General Capabilities of the Australian Curriculum, achieved through incorporation of Arts into Science and Technology, to 21st Century STEM based learning.

St. Barbara’s students experience opportunities to engage with technology and science professionals from organisations such as BHP Billiton, Arid Recovery, Arid Lands, Healthy Environs, Roxby Downs Council, and many others. Our students are supported to actively engage with the local environment to apply their learned skills and understandings in projects such as the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program.
